1. Your layouts stay local
WindowReturn saves which apps and windows belong on each display and Desktop, along with their sizes and positions. Saved Finder folders are included only when you use that feature. Your layouts are stored on your Mac, not uploaded to our servers.
2. Protecting your information
Your license key and activation details are protected by macOS Keychain. WindowReturn connects to online services for licensing and, only if you choose, anonymous diagnostics. Diagnostics are off by default and exclude your window titles, app names, saved layouts, file paths, screenshots, and license keys. See the Privacy Policy for details.
3. Safe downloads
Before publication, each release must be signed with our Apple Developer ID and pass Apple's notarization and our release checks. Download WindowReturn only from this website's official link. If you have trouble opening it, see download help.
4. Report a vulnerability
Email [email protected] with a clear description, affected WindowReturn version, reproduction steps, and impact. Do not include license keys, private layouts, personal files, or other people's data. We will acknowledge receipt and, for valid reports, coordinate remediation and disclosure in good faith.
