1. Agreement
These Terms and End User License Agreement form a contract between you and Kadir Kiraş (“we,” “us,” or “WindowReturn”). By installing, activating, purchasing, or using WindowReturn, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
2. Free trial
WindowReturn includes a 14-day full-feature trial without requiring a payment card. The trial begins after the app first successfully saves a layout or restores at least one window. Setup and idle launches do not consume trial time. Reinstallation does not create a new trial.
3. License grant
A purchase grants one individual a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased major version of WindowReturn for personal or professional work on up to 2 Macs they control, subject to the checkout terms. The license is perpetual for the version acquired and does not transfer ownership of the software or source code. Team-wide deployment, resale, managed-service use, or redistribution requires separate written permission unless expressly included in the checkout terms.
4. Product behavior and boundaries
WindowReturn reads and repositions eligible standard app windows across physical displays and normal native macOS Desktops. It may create missing normal Desktops required by a saved layout and does not automatically delete or reorder existing Desktops.
WindowReturn does not promise to recreate closed browser tabs, documents, projects, native full-screen Spaces, unsupported windows, or application state controlled by another app. macOS permissions, monitor identity, app behavior, system updates, and unsupported operating-system interfaces can affect results. Keep backups of important data and layouts.
5. Permissions and system requirements
Accessibility permission is required for window restoration. Finder Automation is optional and used only for exact Finder-folder recovery. WindowReturn runs as a standalone macOS app. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible macOS configuration shown on the product page.
6. Updates
Your purchase includes updates for the purchased major version. Your license does not expire, subject to these terms and license validation. A future major version may be offered as a separate, optional paid upgrade; you can keep using your purchased version without buying it. We do not promise compatibility with every future macOS release.
7. Restrictions
You may not redistribute, sublicense, sell access to, circumvent licensing for, use the software to violate law or others’ rights, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly allows. You may not use a personal license as part of a commercial hosting, managed-device, or resale service.
8. Third-party services and notices
Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for purchases and licensing. Optional diagnostics use PostHog only after opt-in. WindowReturn includes third-party components described in the notices distributed with the app. Their respective terms apply to those components and services.
9. Refunds
Refund requests are governed by the 14-day WindowReturn refund policy and Lemon Squeezy’s merchant terms. Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction continue to apply.
10. Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WindowReturn is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect restoration of every window, or compatibility with every app, display, dock, or future macOS release.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kadir Kiraş is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Aggregate liability relating to WindowReturn will not exceed the amount you paid for the WindowReturn license giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Termination
The license ends if you materially breach these terms. On termination, stop using the software. Terms that by their nature should survive—including ownership, restrictions, warranty disclaimers, and liability limits—remain in effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, excluding conflict-of-law rules, while preserving mandatory consumer protections and dispute rights that apply where you live.
